Walking Tour

Noto

Jewel of the Sicilian baroque, Noto will disclose itself in the full splendor of its reconstruction: after the devastating earthquake that struck eastern Sicily in 1693, the whole city was rebuilt according to the taste and style that have today made it a World Heritage Site.

Driving along its white streets, we will stop to admire the church of Santa Chiara, the St. Nicholas Cathedral, Palazzo Ducezio, via Nicolaci with its beautiful balconies, the Fountain of Hercules, the Municipal Theatre and all other major architectures. Along the main street, we can also stop to do some shopping and to discover some of the Sicilian culinary sweet delights: the cannoli (crunchy dessert with a sweet ricotta) or granita (frozen dessert).
