Aeolian islands: a journey through sea, fire and wind
Lipari, Vulcano, Stromboli and more

We will first meet in Milazzo, from here we will reach Lipari by boat. We will then spend the night in the hotel.

All boat excursions are organized in collaboration with a specialised company.

The day will be spent in Vulcano: we will leave from the small island of Vulcanello and the Valle dei Mostri (Monsters valley), from which we will then arrive at the island’s port.

You will instantly fall in love with Vulcano. We will be doing a taxi scenic ride and you will be able to decide whether to go up to the top of the volcano crater or just have a lovely lunch in town.

In the afternoon we will go to the Scoglio della Sirenetta, Allume caves and the wonderful volcanic sand beach of Baia dell’asino .

We will cross the Villaggio del Gelso to reach the Grotta del Cavallo, where we will swim into the beautiful crystal clear water of the Piscina di Venere. The day will end at the evocative beach of Vinci in Lipari.

During the morning you will be free to visit any place you wish, while in the afternoon you will be able to choose two different tours.

#1 Choice: Visit to Panarea and excursion to the Stromboli crater

This first tour will give you the opportunity to live one the most amazing experiences of your life.

We will leave Lipari for Panarea where we will first discover the stunning beauty of Baia Cala Junco, followed by a short stay at the village.

We will set sail again towards the island of Stromboli, and during this trip we will be able to witness the beautiful phenomenon of the sparkling blue waters.

As soon as we land we will meet our specialised guides in order to start our climb to the crater (estimated time: 3 hours). At the top we will be lucky to see the spectacular eruption of the volcano. With our hearts filled with lots of new emotions that we will never forget, we’ll go back to Lipari for a good night sleep.

Equipment required: trekking shoes, windproof jacket, a spare t-shirt and sweatshirt, torch with spare battery, one litre of water per person and a picnic supper. The equipment may be hired. Advance booking is advisable.

#2 Choice: Panarea and Stromboli

We will leave from Lipari to Panarea, where we will see the stunning beauty of the Baia di Cala Junco (Cala Junco bay) and rediscover the origins on man by visiting the prehistoric village of Capo Milazzese.

After a short stay at Panarea’s village, we will enjoy the sight of the underwater fumaroles and discover the small islands of “Dattilo” and “Lisca Bianca”.

We will swim off the coast of the island of Basiluzzo and then reach the village of Ginostra in Stromboli.

We will be captivated by the colours of the port of the island, where the black of the rocks and the white of the houses mix in a breathtaking scenery at the foot of the volcano.

At sunset we will bid goodbye to Stromboli and after getting past the rocky island of Strombolicchio and its guiding lighthouse, we will observe the volcano’s eruptions from a unique prospective: the Sciara del Fuoco.

With these images impressed in our minds, we will make our way back to Lipari to spend the night in the hotel.

The company reserves the right to change the program and / or timetable when the weather conditions are not good or for any technical problems.

Today we will discover Salina, island known for the production of the Malvasia wine and its capers which are exported all over the world.

We will leave Lipari to reach the old village of Canneto through “Monte Rosa”.

Together we will discover the pumice mines, after which we will go for a long, relaxing swim.

We will then visit “Acquacalda”, near the volcanic cone of “Monte”, and then set sail for Salina. Here we’ll visit the village of “Santa Marina di Salina” and, after having circumnavigated the island, we’ll go to “Malfa”.

We will relive the romantic love of Mario and Beatrice, from the beautiful Italian movie Il postino, and visit “Pollara” - where the movie was shot - after which we will re-immerse ourselves into the beauties of the island.

Our next stops will be the villages of “Rinella” and “Lingua” , where we will have lunch in a typical fish restaurant, before leaving for the famous salt lake.

During the afternoon we will go back to Lipari and, after a swim at the Grotta degli Amanti , we will move towards Valle Muria. We will reach the Faraglioni, the Angeli cave and the Vinci beach. Afterwards we will go back to our beds in Lipari.

You will have the morning free to spend it however you like, we will see each other again in the afternoon, so we can go back together from Lipari to Milazzo where we will say our goodbyes with our minds and hearts filled with wonderful images and memories
