Bridge between the North African culture and the various Middle Eastern and European influences, Malta is a small jewel in the Mediterranean. Our tour will start from the ancient capital Mdina, a medieval town that owes its name to the Saracen invaders, and then reach the port city of Misida.
We will visit Valletta, the capital, that will open the way to new tours: we will travel along the Upper Barrakka gardens, where we’ll stop to admire the splendid panorama of the Grand Harbour, with the fortress of St. Angel and the three nearby cities; we will visit St. John’s Cathedral, a former convent church of the Knights of St. John of Jerusalem; we’ll finally admire the work of Michelangelo di Caravaggio, depicting the beheading of John the Baptist, before saying goodbye.
